Tranquility Bass | Broadcast Standard Issue No. 1 12"

Sound Metaphors / Exist Dance

Regular price £16.99

All time classic alert! I've been waiting for a reissue of this one for years and once again the Sound Metaphors crew in Berlin step up to the plate and deliver the goods.

I first heard "Cantamilla" on Patrick Forge's show on Kiss when I was a teenager and it just blew my mind and motivated me to purchase his "Rebirth Of Cool 4most" compilation from my local record ship (Scorpion Records in High Wycombe) featuring said tune with my hard earned cash earnt from stacking shelves at Sainsbury's round the corner. However I never owned the original 12" but have always lusted after it and now thanks to this reissue that my vinyl dreams have finally come true 31 years later.

"Cantamilla" features here in two verions - the original mix and the more bass heavy dancefloor driven "Broadcast Standard" (which is my favourite). Trippy, dubby, funky... it still sounds flipping amazing and in a league of it's own. In addition you're also treated to the bass driven outernational trip hop of "Mya Yadana (Kin Kin)" as well as a deep ambient beatless mix of "They Came In Peace" (the original mix of which incidentally also featured on a big compilation from my teenage years - MoMax's original Headz comp).

Trust me - you need this one! Big up Sound Metaphors for doing the honours.
