Yes, yes, yes! The final missing jigsaw piece in the recent trilogy of Rhythm & Sound LP represses has landed. The monumental See Mi Yah originally released in 2005 that collects together the seven Burial Mix 7"s from BM-14 to BM-20 onto one LP.
Following the tradition of one rhythm albums such as Tempo Explosion all the cuts run on the See Mi Yah rhythm but the choice of vocalists (from all time legends such as Sugar Minott to contemporary heroes such as Paul St Hilaire) make each tune unique and excenuate the power and difference between each vocalist.
The result is a deeply immersive and meditative record that gives something new on each listen and is yet another fine example of Rhythm 8 Sound taking the reggae tradition (in this case rhythm reversioning) and putting their own inimitable spin on it to create something very special, unique and truly timeless.
