Yes, yes, yes! Nearly exactly two years after their first monumental collaboration LP landed Danny Wolfers and Takafumi Noda return with it's sequel "Evil Fades in Echo" and I'm glad to report that it's as much of a revelation as that outstanding first record.
Building on the distinctive synth-dub sound they pioneered they take things in a slightly tougher direction here bringing in steppers influences from the dub side and acid influences from the synth side whilst still maintaining that same lovely overall spacey cosmic feel. The result is a record that works equally well for the head as for the feet and definitely has the potential to rock a dancefloor.
Another truly exceptional record that successfully captures the magic of that first release whilst also pushing the sound in some interesting new directions.
In fact it's so good that I think I might even be so bold as to suggest it could be a very late contender for album of the year...
