Hot on the heels of that amazing collaboration record with Danny Wolfers the mighty Mystica Tribe (a.k.a. Taka Noda) returns here with this killer 45 which marks the second release on Canada's most excellent Moon Garden label. And what a gem it is!
"Midnight Mirage" is a perfect encapsulation of the distinctive melodica driven sound Mystica Tribe has been perfecting over the past decade or so, taking the Far East sound pioneered by the likes of Augustus Pablo further into the cosmos. Delivered here in two mixes with a slightly darker and heavier "Rising Tide Dub" mix on the A-side and then the lighter synth driven "Current Swell Dub" on the flip.
Both equally brilliant. Another great record from Taka.
