Something a bit special and a bit different here. Marking the debut long player release on Toronto's wonderful Local Dish records is this lovely collection of tunes from the amazing Debbie Gaskin who has featured on a number of the superb (and now long sold out) limited lathe cut 7"s that the label has put out over the past few years.
Many of those sort after tunes reappear here in a dazzling selection of tracks that effortlessly spans reggae, soul, soca and disco. All delivered in that distinctive Local Dish style that with its playful dubbiness and hazy psychedelia recalls prime time Black Ark as well as the productions of local Toronto legend Jerry Brown and his Summer Records label.
A very unique and charming record that's lovingly presented here in three colourway options for both the vinyl and the beautiful handprinted cover.
