Back In Stock Wow! One of those records that restores your faith in the "previously unreleased" concept. Two absolute gems here from the Ariwa archives that amazingly, considering how insanely good they sound, have never seen the light of day until now.
First up on the A-side is Aisha with "Give A Little Love" which I believe was recorded around the same time as the legendary "Creator" which you can totally hear in terms of the similarities in the sound although for this one The Prof ups the funk and disco factor to create an absolute dancefloor banger! Pure reggae disco heaven. It probably also comes as no surpirse to hear it's accompanied by an off the scale amazing dub as well. Massive tune!
However it doesn't stop there. Flip it over and you're treated to a sublime dose of seriously heavyweight rootical dub created by a dubwise dream team of Mad Professor, Norman Grant and Jah Shaka (who delivers that immense growling bassline). Served up in two mixes of progressive dubiness this one feels like a major piece of UK dub history as well as sounding flipping amazing!
What a record! Makes you wonder what other hidden treasures might be lurking in the Ariwa tape cupboard....
