Recorded at the same time as Horace Andy's legendary Dance Hall Style and delivered in the same extended discomix format with each of the vocal cuts running straight into deep mystical Wackies dubs, Showcase Vol. 1 remains a high point in Wayne Jarrett's exemplary discography.
Wayne delivers his haunting vocals over classic tuff rhythms including Rockfort Rock and Drum Song and there's also mesmerising version of Horace's "Every Tongue Shall Say" which certainly equals the power of the original (and some might argue even surpasses it).
Another essential Wackies classic.
