Following that monster white label 12 that sold out in the blink of an eye The Bug and Ghost Dubs return with a full length split LP delivered across two slabs of vinyl. The two lead tracks from the 12" get featured here alongside 10 brand new dubs.
When it comes to making seriously heavyweight dubs these guys do not mess about! Pushing both the stripped back minimalism and the bass weight maximalism of dub to the absolute limit this is a mindblowing and visceral listening experience that leaves you feeling elated, sated and a little bit exhausted (in the best possible way!)
There are musical reference points here such as the immersive dubwise techno of Rhythm & Sound and the mixing desk manipulation of On-U Sound but I can honestly say I don't think anyone has pushed and distilled the essential characteristics of dub quite to the levels you'll hear on this record.
This one's in a league of it's own. Massive.
