Been a big fan of Sordid Sound System's musical output for quite some time so was excited to see this record land as it's been a while since they've put anything out and I'm glad to report it's an absolute blinder.
We're treated to a full on heady mix of post-punk, motorik grooves, dub, ambient and psychedelia here all of which is beautifully captured on epic opening track "Wired Wyrd" which sets the tone nicely for the more dancefloor focused A-side. Then flip it over and the pace drops as we head more into ambient territory with the blissful "UFO" alongside other atmospheric gems such as the dubwise percussive delights of title track "Gimme Fever."
This one's a proper trip!
