Love this one! It was opening track "Brandy" that really caught my attention initially when I was listening to the promo clips but I have to say since the vinyl arrived and I've listened to the whole thing all three of the cuts on here are absolute top class.
Kicking things off with opener "Brandy" and its infectious flute loop (that reminds me of one of my deadliest white label secret weapons J-Sweet's "Road Angel") it's a real slow burning gem then continues to unfurl just getting better and better with the drop of a heavy as lead bassline and the gradual build of those atmospheric IDM synths.
But it doesn't stop there. Also on the A-side we're treated to "Yarmouth" which is a dark, tribal stepper packing tough militant drum pattens alongside some seismic chest rattling bass and then flip it over for the 9 minute epic "Cautious (Dub)" which is a free wheeling mystical sonic odyssey into the depths of dubwise bleep techno.
In summary some of the best new music I've heard so far this year on here. Hats off to Severin Black for the tunes and to Tokyo's Parallel Line label for pressing it up on vinyl.
