Superb and very unique sounding version of the Congos classic from R.Zee Jackson that captures the mesmerising haunting nature of the original but also adds a welcome 80's digi twist to proceedings which works an absolute treat.
You also get the added bonus here of R.Zee's excellent and equally unique take on Bunny Wailer's "Blackheart Man" as well as the much sort after "Long Long Time" on the flip which is a lovely slice of deep and dubby roots delivered extended discomix style alongside a pleasingly spaced out dub that conjures up the spirit of a classic hazy Black Ark production.
All three tracks recorded in the mid 80's at Toronto's Half Moon Recording Studio with Oswald Creary at the controls.
