Yes, yes, yes! The Sound Metaphors crew out in Berlin come through with the goods once again with this reissue of Pecker's epic outernational cosmic dub masterpiece featuring the cream of musical talent from both Japan and Jamaica including Sly & Robbie, the Barrett brothers, Marcia Griffiths, Judy Mowatt and even Augustus Pablo who makes an appearance on keys.
The centre piece here is the epic and peerless "Kylyn" which regular followers of Dubwise Vinyl will know I'm a big fan of having featured it in the Balearic Dubwise mix I did a little while back. However all the tracks here are exceptional and they all sit together perfectly to create a very special, unique and timeless record.
This reissue takes the same 10" format as the OG pressing from 1980 and therefore differs to the other Japanese reissue 12" on Columbia Japan that have I have also stocked in the past. Also coming from Germany rather than Japan means this one has the added advantage of being a bit cheaper.
Superb record. Grab 'em while you can!
