Another essential collection of gems from the vaults of the legendary Digi Dub label this time focusing on the output of label boss Lee Berwick in his Mudskipper alias.
The title of the EP makes reference to Berwick's love of the classic Far East melodica dub pioneered by Augustus Pablo but transports it to the DIY stylings of south-east London's Camberwell squat scene in the 90's which provided both a home and inspiration to Berwick's musical output.
All six tracks here (five of which are previously unreleased) represent that intriguing combination of a deep respect and understanding of classic 70's Jamaican dub alongside a determination to push that sound into into intriguing new territories opened up by the emerging dance music scene and the proliferation of new affordable music technology.
And the results really speak for themselves with the focus on innovation and carving your own musical path helping to make these six long lost dubs sound as fresh and relevant as ever.
