The first new music from the legendary Linton Kwesi Johnson in 20 years and it comes in the shape of a dubplate style 10" with 4 brand new dubs by none other than Linton's longtime musical collaborator, HOLY guest star and all round Dubwise Vinyl hero Mr Dennis Bovell.
Here Dennis dubs the first two track from 1978's landmark Dread Beat An' Blood LP and they sound every bit as amazing as you'd hope. Seriously heavyweight rhythms with Linton's lyrics spinning and ricocheting around the echo chamber as Dennis works his mixing desk magic on them.
The record was produced to mark the recent US theatrical release of the 1979 documentary Dread Beat an Blood by Franco Rosso (also director of Babylon) and is available in two vinyl options. A very limited red vinyl version (only 150 copies pressed) and a standard back vinyl version.
