A truly inspired reissue 12" here from New York's mighty fine DKR records that showcases two wonderful an very unique tuns that are completely new to me from Keith Cole's Lovebird imprint.
Up top is the infectious dancefloor ready boogie of the Keith's mega rare and much sort after 1984 cut "Honey Bee Fantasy" and then on the flip is the real killer for me - Ann Marie's "Together Again." This is one of those reggae tunes that really stands out from the crowd and just grabs you right right from the start as something very special indeed. Ann Marie's fragile, whimsical and almost folk like vocals create a beautifully arresting contrast to the heavy as lead Roots Radics rhythm and then just wait until you here the dub. Wow!
Tracklist:
A Keith Cole – Honey Bee Fantasy
B1 Ann Marie – Together Again
B2 The Roots Radics– Together Version
Please note: There are two small audible pops in the second half of "Together Again" which are on all copies and therefore (I assume) a feature of the pressing. They're no big deal in my opinion but just want to make people aware so there are no surprises when you give it a spin.
