Amazing compilation of otherwise impossible to find dub informed post-punk gems from early 80's Japan.
This is one of those records where the compilation approach feels both welcome and entirely necessary as I think it is fair to say that most of would never otherwise come across the treasure trove of goodies housed on this record. The UK post-punk scene's musical love affair with dub is pretty well documented but as far as I'm aware this is the first time anyone has done the same for the Japan. Many of the styles you'll find on here (guitar dub, punk-funk-dub, avant pop-dub, lovers rock) are cross over genres we're familiar with in the UK but here they all sound just that little bit different which makes them even more enticing. A fascinating porthole into an otherwise undiscovered musical kingdom.
Comes complete with obi-strip and a beautifully presented 14 page booklet packed with amazing photos.
