Another killer 12" reissue here from the archives of Niney the Observer revived by Berlin's Deeper Roots label. This time with another legend on the mic - the one and only Horace Andy - with two tunes dating back to 1977.
A-side is home to the rocking "Them Never Tell I" powered by a heavyweight and pleasingly dubwise rhythm from Soul Syndicate with Horace's vocal cut going straight into a wicked deejay version from Ranking Buckers in an extended 12" discomix style.
Then flip it over for Martialist which sees Horace's sweet falsetto warn on the dangers of Babylon's obsession with money and wealth. This is another extended discomix with the vocal going straight into a dub this time which keeps the vocals at the forefront but adds some more space and bass to the rhythm, heading even into the depths of the echo chamber as the dub progresses.
