The hotly anticipated second album from psychedelic post-punk dub heroes Holy Tongue has landed on the excellent AD 93 label.
Buy on sight business as always here from the Holy Tongue crew who haven't put a foot wrong in my opinion in their string of exceptional releases since their first eponymous EP graced our ears six years ago.
On this record they also add the distinctive vocals of Dali De Saint Paul into the mix on a couple of the tracks which adds another intriguing dimension to their unique blend of dub basslines, tribal drums and post-punk genre defying experimentalism.
Just have a listen to the two 10 minute epics "Orange 28" and "Nature" for an example of the band in full flow andat the height of their powers. Deep, dark, intoxicating.
Another modern day classic.
