Marking the inaugural release on the new Magistrate imprint out of Germany "Isms & Schisms" effortlessly and expertly joins the dots between vintage 70's Jamaican dub and more contemporary bass heavy dubwise sounds. The tittle track on the A-side delivers a heavy as lead bassline that pulses from the depth of the echo chamber in the dub techno tradition accompanied by some righteous horns and Rasta vocals linking back to the golden era of roots reggae. Then flip it over for "Magistrates Dub" which ups the pace into an infectious dancefloor friendly skank that gets you on your feet before whisking you off on a deep and dubby journey back into the mixing desk for proper dubwise work out.
Another lovely little record from Hidden Sequence that provides deep meditative sounds perfect for both headphone listening and mashing up the dance.
