The arrival of Ghost Dub's Damaged two years ago felt like a landmark moment marking the arrival of an artist who carves their own path within the dubwise sonic landscape. Part dub techno, part dark ambient, part deconstructed dubstep there was nothing else quite like it out there.
Here on its sequel "Oblique" Michael Fielder further develops and perfects that distinctive sound. It's a bolder, richer and more varied collection of dubs than it's predecessor with a cinematic depth maybe inspired by Michael's recent score for the Oscar shortlisted "Sound of Falling."
Another darkly beautiful, immersive and visceral listen and another future classic in the making.
