The epic inaugural 12" and 7" on DJ Sotofett's new Resonance Of Dub label have landed!
Here Sotofett works his dubwise magic on cuts from Ghanian drummer, percussionist and vocalist Ekowmania delivering four brand new dancefloor ready dub works. We're treated to two dubs of title track ~ Dub Souljah. The first one (the "Disco Dub") is a righteous horns driven slice of contemporary roots delivered in traditional discomix fashion with the vocal running into a deep and heavy dub. Then flip it over for my personal favourite which is the mighty "Ultra Dub" - a deep, dark and mystical monster that draws you deeper and deeper into the echo chamber with that snaking earth shaking bassline. Absolute killer!
And as if that wasn't enough we're also treated to two additional more percussion focused dubs - the cosmic tinged "Kuusikasi Funk" and the driving psychedelic "Afrolistic Rock & Roll".
Sotofett not messing about here. Top record!
