One of two new archival releases from cult experimental dub/dance label Digidub.
This one features two collaborations between Digidub founder Lee Berwick and one of the great unsung heroes of the UK dub scene, the late great Julian Fairshaw who sadly passed away in 2024. If you're not acquainted with Julian's music then you're in for a treat. Both as a producer and a vocalist he explored the more experimental side of dub (check the genius broken techno meets UK dub of "Ragga Bliss") and although there is a frustratingly small amount available on vinyl there is a treasure trove of delights to be discovered on his Bandcamp.
Here Julian provides the vocals over two previously unreleased dubplates from Digidub that perfectly capture his characteristically unique take on the UK roots and dub sound.
Big up Digidub for putting this out and I hope it will help shine a light on Julian's unique musical talents.
