Another amazing reissue here from Austria's Editions Hawara (who were reponsible that incredible Cheiko Beauty 7" that sold in on pre-order in 24hrs).
This gem is the sole release from Cracy Coconuts (sisters Judi and Nicola, daughters of Kurt Hauenstein, a.k.a. Supermax who also prouced the record). It was originally released on the Bellaphon label in 1987 and is total one of a kind musical magic gold.
With a sound that sits somewhere between Althea and Donna and the Sugar Hill Gang running on a heavyweight rhythm that takes influences from 80's digi-dub influences it's an infectious dancefloor banger that has cross genre appeal spanning not only dub and reggae abut also hip hop, funk and disco.
You get two versions her. The vocal cut on the A-side and a 'Sing Along-Version' on the flip which is effectively a dub.
This is a repress of Editions Hawara's 2020 reissue which is long sold out and now going for ££s on Discogs and if you want an OG you'll be looking at £££s so probably a good idea to snap up one of these before they disappear again.
