Wow! This one totally blew my mind the first time I heard it.
Under the radar early 90's Japanese digi-reggae gem with one of the most insane rhythms I've ever heard based on Manuel Göttsching's E2-E4 that joins the dots between reggae, synth, acid house and early rave. Genuinely mind blowing stuff. Produced by Dub Master X who's back catalogue is well worth investigating (I included one of his tunes in this mix I did a while back) but I have to confess I'd never heard this one before until this reissue from Edition Hawara came onto my radar.
It's the dub that's really the winner for me here just because it gives you a chance to totally focus on the full wonders of that extraordinary rhythm but the vocal from Chieko Beauty is also very nice indeed and takes it in a bit of a lovers rock direction.
Don't imagine this one is going to stick around for long!
