Melbourne's ever reliable Efficient Space label strike gold again unearthing a treasure trove of dubwise delights from Aussie Scouse dub maverick Ali Omar.
As far as I'm aware all these tracks find themselves onto vinyl for the first time here having previously only been available on self released CD's and boy oh boy am I pleased to have them on wax!
Whilst broadly fitting into the 90's trend for merging dub with the then emerging sounds of dance music, Ali taps into his Arabic heritage to add his own twist on proceedings and the result is a distinctive and very trippy sound that sounds as fresh and varied today as it did when these tracks first emerged 30 years ago.
Can't get enough of this one to be honest. Been listening to it on repeat since it arrived yesterday - highly recommended!
