Sir Collins | Africa / Blood And Fire 12"

Common Ground International

Regular price £10.99

**Back In Stock** Excellent and much needed 12" showcasing four exemplary productions from legendary Dalston based reggae producer, sound man, label owner and original founding member of the iconic Four Aces Club - Sir "Clancy" Collins.

The two vocal cuts featured here (the sublime heavy roots of 'Africa' and the deejay cut with Big Dread 'Blood and Fire') originally appeared on a 7" in 1976 with their dubs appearing separately on subsequent later albums so its great to have all four tracks reunited here for the first time on 12".

Particular note should also be given to the beautifully haunting and heartbreaking dub 'New Cross Fire' taken from the LP of the same name released in 1981 as a tribute to Sir Collins son Steve who tragically lost his life (along with 12 other young people) in the New Cross fire.
