I think it's fair to say the centre piece of the album is Al's extraordinary cover of Ras Michael's No Hopper which transports the originally into a parallel universe of hazy psychedelic dub techno. With the assistance of King Tubby and his mixing desk at 18 Dromilly Avenue Lee Perry crafted is own vision for the emerging genre which was typically unique, inspired and heavily psychedelic including snippets of sound effects and spoken word alongside the pioneering dubwise mixing techniques of echo and reverb.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhat makes this particular reissue so important and different to other subsequent versions of this landmark record is that it matches the original 14 strong tracklist and, crucially, the ground breaking stereo recording technique which I believe was the very first example of stereo being used on any reggae record.
